The Stumbling-Blocks of Paul’s Epistles, Part II

The Law According to Paul

Note: As Paul may be difficult to understand, this post may require reading multiple times. We try to make it as simple as possible.

Encouragement:

“Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of HaMashiach; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto YAHUAH.” “But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter” (Romans 7:4 & 6).

Our Open:

YAHUSHA HaMashiach, when asked in Matthew 22:36-40: “Master, which is the great commandment in the law? YAHUSHA said unto him, Thou shalt love YAHUAH thy ALUAH with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.”  YAHUSHA summed the 10 commandments into 2 commandments: the first 5 commandments being HIS “First and GREAT Commandment,” and the second 5 being HIS, “the second is like unto it.” What does Paul say about “Two Laws”?

  • Is Paul preaching that we are no longer under the law by saying in Romans 7:4 & 6, “we are dead to the law by the body of HaMashiach; because we are married to the Qahal/Body [church] of YAHUSHA”?
  • Is Paul, by saying, “that ye should be married to another” saying that if we are under, meaning keep, the law we are divorced from YAHUSHA’s Qahal/Body?
  • Is Paul teaching that the law died with YAHUSHA and we were dead under the law, now we are raised up under a new law by saying, “HIM who is raised from the dead,” “But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held”?
  • Is Paul, by saying, “we should bring forth fruit unto YAHUAH” saying that fruit to YAHUAH is not necessarily by teaching/preaching/keeping the law?
  • Finally, is Paul cementing by saying, “that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter,” that the Law of YAHUAH, especially the 10 commandments, is done away with? That our salvation is based upon being spiritual? What does it mean to be spiritual?

What is it that Paul is teaching? Is he encouraging lawlessness, preaching against the law, or reaffirming it? Is he preaching new law? Does Paul redefine the “Two Commandments” of YAHUSHA? Does Paul change the Commandments of YAHUAH? We have proven that YAHUSHA certainly did NOT.

Many read Paul’s writings and misinterpret them, as understanding lacks within them. One of the major problems is that it is just about impossible to have understanding of Paul’s writings if you are unlearned in the Tanakh (so-called Old Testament). Other reasons which cause “stumbling-blocks” to the unlearned is the lack of understanding in what it is to have a relationship with YAHUSHA HaMashiach. What is this telling you? That to understand the writings of Paul, you must have a certain level of relationship developed with YAHUAH, our Abbah, through YAHUSHA, our Savior. With this key, the Ruach grants you understanding. The Ruach of discernment guides you to said understanding. You cannot have skipped the Tanakh and understand the so-called New Testament (N.T.). You cannot study the Tanakh and preach against the N.T. Doing either of these proves you know neither one, as each one backs the other; they conceal and reveal one another. If you are one who struggles with understanding Paul’s writings, there is no need to feel down, as you are here seeking TRUTH. Therefore, you are in development of your relationship with YAHUSHA. We are not a part of any group, organization, sect, cult, denomination, movement, or religion. We, too, were skeptics of Paul; however, we approach scripture without bias, other than our Love for YAHUAH and hate for evil. Therefore, we seek only the “Rightfully Divided Word of TRUTH” in development of our relationship with YAHUAH, spreading the same to our readers and others with whom we enter conversation. We are not here to prove anyone wrong or right. We only test the Scriptures against itself to find TRUTH. If that TRUTH debunks what was taught to us by religion for so many years, we call it out so others may also learn how the pharisee and church doctrine deception is in contrast to, opposite of, TRUTH. As Watchmen, that is our responsibility, otherwise the blood of others is on our hands. “But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman’s hand. So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Yasharal; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me. When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it; if he do not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul. Therefore, O thou son of man, speak unto the house of Yasharal; Thus ye speak, saying, If our transgressions and our sins be upon us, and we pine away in them, how should we then live? Say unto them, As I live, saith YAHUAH ALUAH, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Yasharal?” (Ezekiel 33:6-11). Teaching the “Rightfully divided Word of TRUTH” is what YAHUAH and YAHUSHA calls “Bringing Forth Good Fruits.”

Like YAHUSHA, Paul teaches of the law, which, unfortunately, many misinterpret. This brings us to other “stumbling-blocks” the unlearned experience in Paul’s writings: the change in recipient(s), his appearing of giving in at one point, and the most important—besides the reader’s lack of developed relationship in YAHUAH—is Paul’s frequent redirection, which we will uncover in this discussion. Let’s reveal what Paul is teaching; we will begin in Romans 7 & 8 “The Law of Sin and Death,” defining “the Law according to Paul.”

The Discussion:

When Paul speaks of the law he calls it “the Law of Sin and Death.” Therefore, this section of scripture is also called the same. We are going to answer the questions above along with what and why Paul calls it “the Law of Sin and Death.” The picture of Paul that we are generally handed by the church is that Paul teaches we are no longer under the law. That the law was a law of sin and death—you sin, you die. That you are to be put to death. What is this law of sin and death which many have mislabeled? We are going to read what Paul says in his own words, whether he agrees or disagrees with those who say Paul said, “the Law of Moses has passed away, that we are no longer under it, as it is the Law of Sin and Death.” What is it that Paul is calling the Law of Sin and Death? Are they one in the same? Is the Law of Sin and Death the curse of the Law of Moses? Are we redeemed from the Law of Moses in the Body of YAHUSHA by HIS death and resurrection?

We are aware that this is a long introduction before getting into the scriptures; however, it is necessary to lay out the many questions and concerns this topic brings in the world and the Children of Yasharal. Also, there is nothing like suspense, right? By the end of this discussion, you will have a much greater understanding on how to approach the writings of Paul as this is the foundational principle of all his writings. You will have in your arsenal, fighting TRUTH against pharisee leaven, enough TRUTH to conclude that Paul is being completely misrepresented.

The Reveal:

Like YAHUSHA, in summation of HIS two laws, Paul lays out two, and only two laws; not one law, but two laws—two different laws. Are the two laws opposites, or the same? Would this not be an important data point to know? We are aware that the Messianic group believes the law has several subsections, and you may certainly categorize them as such; there’s no problem with that. However, does Paul? Paul very specifically defines, many times over just in this chapter alone, the contrast between law #1 and law #2. The difficulty is knowing which law he is speaking of. This is where the ones who Peter calls “unlearned” get lost and misinterpret Paul. And where the purposely deceitful misdirect the flock. Are laws 1 and 2 at odds with each other?

The Instructions:

Basic foundation to understanding Paul’s writings is knowing that when Paul says “law,” we must immediately ask, “Paul, which law are you speaking of?” What the Ruach pointed out to us is, when we see in the same sentence “sin” and “death”—sin death—Paul is speaking of the Law of Sin and Death; that’s his 2nd Law. His 1st Law is “the Law of Moses.” You’ll learn how Paul equates the Law of Moses with “the Law of Life of YAHUSHA HaMashiach.” Paul will then quote the 10 commandments of Moses, in fact; it is not debatable as it is exact language/quote from Moses. Then, Paul lays out the opposite, “the Law of Sin and Death,” the law that is truly abolished. That’s right, it is not the law of Moses that is abolished, but the law of the flesh, our humanity, which desires to please the flesh itself, and defy YAHUSHA’s law; this is Paul’s 1st law, the law of Moses, or as he calls, “the law of life from HaMashiach,” being opposite the Law of Sin and Death. These are never the same in any context in any way. Paul clarifies this over 30+ times in these verses alone. Those are the only two laws here that Paul’s discussing, no others. Just those two laws.

Paul kept, in his own words, the first law, the Law of Moses. Though, not perfectly, as he admits, “he too deals with his flesh, the Law of Sin and Death.” Paul tells us, as we read above in Romans 7:4 & 6, “YAHUSHA redeemed us from the ‘curse.’” “Curse” of what? The “curse” of the Law of Sin and Death. We know, we know… you were always told it was the Law of Moses; that we are no longer under the Law of Moses; that the Law of Moses is the Law of Sin and Death. However, we are not redeemed from the “curse” of the Law of Moses as there is no “curse” in it. We are, however, redeemed from the “curse” of the Law of Sin and Death, Paul’s #2 Law, and he’s very clear on that. Moses did not teach sin and death. What is the Law of Sin and Death? Paul defines this very well in his words and in quotes. When did sin begin, especially that which results in death? It began with Adamah in the Garden of Eden. “You will surely die in the day you eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil” (Genesis 2:17); YAHUAH said if you sin now, you will die in that day. Jubilees clarifies that that warning from YAHUAH to Adamah is in fact exactly literal (see post, “Does YAHUAH keep HIS Word to Adamah?”). In fact, other than Enoch and Elijah, who are one-off cases both taken from among men, all men have died, and not one of them lived beyond 1000 years. One could say YAHUSHA is the exception; however, HE did die. HE resurrected, but he did die. HaMashiach did overcome the Law of Sin and Death by never sinning and resurrecting. That is Paul’s overall meaning in Romans 7. YAHUSHA did not overcome the law of Moses; HE is the Master of it, the author of it, as nothing that was made was not made by HIM. HE did this for us and all of those who were before us, the peoples of the Tanakh. We, as they, will not realize this salvation spiritually until the day of final judgment, the same time that Abraham does. It is still just as much a promise in our days, though closer in fulfillment as HaMashiach is still fulfilling the Covenant, building the New Yarushalayim. HE will judge all of mankind in one day. HE’ll replenish the earth again, this time with fire, and then we will realize our salvation together with those from the time of Old. We’re no different today than yesteryears. Salvation was available even to the gentile in Exodus many times because the law was for Yasharal and the stranger among us. Let’s see what Paul says…

The Testing and Defining of Scripture

Romans 7:4

“Wherefore my brethren ye also are become dead to the law by the body of HaMashiach.” So we’re dead to the law? That’s it. This is over. That fragment tells us everything, right? It is absolutely wrong to apply this word “law” to the Law of Moses, because it is not; the context would be incorrect. Unfortunately, that is where many stop—a fragment within a sentence and out of context. Which Law is Paul talking about here? As we instructed above, you must ask that question, as Paul speaks of two laws in this chapter. Paul goes from one law to the other and calls them both “law.” But which law? Which one is he speaking on right here? We must determine which one becomes dead by the death and resurrection of HaMashiach. Which law did HE conquer? We must keep in mind there are two laws, and Paul bounces back and forth. We have coded this entire passage. This will help to deliver clearly what Paul sees and what he’s truly saying as Paul is bearing fruit (teaching TRUTH):

  • The active verse is always in quotations and “italicized.”
  • The Boldened is law #2, the Law of Sin and Death. So, the above is not speaking of the Law of Moses.
  • The Underlined is law #1, The Law of Moses, the Law of YAHUSHA.
  • The word which redirects the context between the 2 laws will be in all caps, such as, “BUT” and “THAT.”

You will see that Paul is teaching that HaMashiach conquered the Law of Sin and Death, the law of the flesh, and not the Law of Moses. “That ye should be married to another [we are his bride], even to him who is raised from the dead, “THAT” we should bring forth fruit unto YAHUAH” (Romans 7:4). What fruit? Good fruit! Doesn’t that require work? No, not biblically, as we are to bear fruit on the Sabbath/Shabbat, yet we are not to work, that would be unlawful. However, it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath, according to YAHUSHA. Bearing fruit is teaching and honoring TRUTH, and TRUTH is the Will of YAHUAH. Notice how this verse speaks of the two laws: ye also are become dead to the law by the body of HaMashiach “THAT” we bring forth fruit unto YAHUAH. It appears as one law, yet it is two. One is speaking of sin and death, the other life. This will become more clear as we progress.

Verse 5 – “For when we were in the flesh…” What law is the law of “flesh”? We were in the law of the flesh; that’s the Law of Sin and Death. It is not the Law of Moses. “…the motions of sins…” Paul is defining which law he is speaking of; the law/motions of sin. Moses’ law is not sin. “…which were by the law…” Which law? He is confirming the Law of Sin and Death, not Moses’ Law, but the fleshly law; that’s the one with the motions of sins, that’s the context. “…did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.” “Sin” of the flesh/members bring forth fruit unto “death” = Law of Sin and Death. Now, Paul is speaking of bad fruit, fruit unto death. You just saw “good fruit” from the Law of Moses, “fruit unto YAHUAH” in verse 4. Now you see “bad fruit” by the Law of Sin and Death. In John 15 YAHUSHA uses the entire chapter to define salvation. In verse 8 HE tells us “good fruits [teaching TRUTH] unto YAHUAH leads to salvation.” HE says, “Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.” Disciple (teacher) of TRUTH. In verse 4 YAHUSHA says, “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.” This is defining bad fruit, the law of flesh: “cannot bear fruit of itself.” Itself is you, your flesh; it cannot bear fruit by pleasing itself, pleasing the lusts of the flesh, the law of flesh, the Law of Sin and Death. HE confirms this by saying, “no more can ye, except ye abide in me”; it is the ONLY way to bear good fruit unto YAHUAH. In this verse, YAHUSHA redirects between the same two laws as Paul does. YAHUSHA starts with “Abide in me.” HE is the Word, which includes the Law of Moses. “Abide (live, reside) in the Word, and the word in you.” This is in totality; bear Good Fruit unto YAHUAH through HaMashiach. Paul is simply reiterating YAHUSHA and provides the polar opposite of YAHUSHA’s Law which is the Law of Sin and Death.

  • Bad fruit = Law of Sin and Death; satisfying lusts of the flesh which leads to death.
  • Good fruit = Law of Moses/YAHUAH… law abiding and teaching; abiding in the Body of YAHUSHA which leads to eternal life…

They are opposites.

Verse 6 – “BUT…” we have another topic directive as Paul begins to merge and speak of a different law, law #1. “BUT now we are delivered from the law…” Which law? Which law are we delivered from? Are we delivered from the Law of Moses? No, we are delivered from the Law of Sin and Death; this is still the “law” context. HaMashiach conquered the Law of Sin and Death, and HE is Master over the Law of Moses. “…that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in the newness of Ruach (spirit)… New creature, new nature, newness of Ruach. Newness compared to what? The law he was speaking of prior to the mentioning of newness. Paul is comparing the Law of Moses to the Law of Sin and Death. To operate in the Ruach is in opposition to operating in the flesh, the flesh which is the Law of Sin and Death. Operating in the Ruach is operating in the Law of Moses, the law of life, the Law of HaMashiach, who says, “It is the Ruach that quickeneth [brings to life, gives life]; the flesh profiteth nothing [sin leads to death]: the words that I speak unto you, they are Ruach, and they are Life.” Confirmed!! YAHUSHA is The Word, HE is TRUTH, TRUTH of the Word includes the Law of Moses, it cannot be abolished. Do you see the distinction here? It will become so abundantly clear, if not already. We just witnessed several times that Paul, like YAHUSHA HaMashiach, is speaking of two of the same of two different laws. This is so profound! This is newness; our old self dies when we put off the lusts of the flesh and “abide in YAHUSHA”, thereby strengthening our relationship with YAHUAH, becoming a new creature. HIS defeat of the lusts of the flesh, and defeat of death through resurrection, affords us this opportunity. Otherwise, we, as natural sinners, would all have to be put to death; in this YAHUAH has no Glory. He chose us, HE wants us in HIS kingdom, yet it would be empty as we have all sinned, as has every prophet, and every Apostle. How would HE look? HE has not failed us, so why do we keep failing HIM? All Honor, Praise, Power, Glory, and Salvation be to YAHUAH!!! This is the same newness Paul speaks of in Romans 6:4, “Therefore we are buried with HIM by baptism into death: that like as HaMashiach was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Abbah [Father], even so we also should walk in newness of life.” And 2 Corinthians 5:17, “Therefore if any man be in HaMashiach, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” “And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him” (Colossians 3:10). Paul reiterates YAHUSHA and the Prophets throughout his ministry and never, not one time, strays from the TRUTH. This newness, my brothers and sisters, is what makes YAHUSHA the “mediator of the New Covenant”: “Parable of the New Cloth,” “Parable of the New Wine and Wineskins,” “HIS cup at the Last Supper,” “born again, being baptized/abiding in YAHUSHA,” “no one can come to the Father except by me,” “the new light/YAHUSHA in you as darkness is put away (1 John 2:7-8),” and in the final days, “a new name,” “ask in my name and it shall be given you”; this is defined in many verses throughout the entire 80 books (not just 66) of the bible. Paul is merely reaffirming—let’s continue proving this… we are still on Romans 7:6. Keep in mind how Paul, like YAHUSHA, bounces back and forth, yet he is crystal clear. “…and not in the oldness of the letter.” Now as soon as someone hears or reads “the letter” or “the letter of the law,” they immediately, and without seeking TRUTH of context, jump to think it pertains to the Law of Moses. This is wrong. Paul is speaking of “the letter” of “the Law of Sin and Death, the law of flesh.” We are not being redeemed from the Law of Moses, only from the curse of the Law of Sin and Death and it’s letter that we are no longer a part of IF we are in HaMashiach, because he conquered that law. Nothing ever says he conquered the Law of Moses. Bear with us as Paul becomes more and more clear.

Verse 7 – “What shall we say then? is the law sin? YAHUAH forbid. In verse 6 Paul said the law was sin. Now he’s asking, “Is the law sin? YAHUAH forbid.” Is Paul asking “is the Law of Sin and Death sin?” Of course it is, it’s right in the title. So why would he ask this? He wouldn’t. On the contrary, which law is not sin? Why would he say, “YAHUAH forbid”? Because he’s speaking of the Law of YAHUAH which HE never abolished, nor does YAHUSHA, nor can Paul, even. However, both YAHUSHA and Paul reinforce the Law of YAHUAH. Paul is no longer speaking of sin and death, but the law of YAHUAH which is not and cannot be sin, and therefore is not the Law of Sin and Death. “Nay I had not known sin but by the law.” The law defines right and wrong, good fruit vs. bad fruit, Will of YAHUAH vs. lawlessness. In fact, to sin is to be lawless or breaking the law; that’s what sin is. “For I had not known lust, except the law had said, thou shalt not covet.” Waaait a minute… what did Paul just do? Which law, in his own words, does he say he keeps? Well, where do we find “thou shalt not covet?” Oh, I know, I know, pick me, pick me… It is the tenth commandment from the Law of YAHUAH, which was not written by Moses, though most call it the Law of Moses because he’s the one to whom it was given to deliver, yet it was written by the very Finger of YAHUAH. Praise YAH!!! If the law is abolished, can we now covet? Paul is highlighting the difference, the flesh (Law of Sin and Death) will covet, while the Ruach (the Word which includes the Law of Moses) will not. Paul is saying, “If it weren’t for the Word, the Law, he would not have known the law of the flesh exists.” “The Words of TRUTH are Ruach,” according to YAHUSHA. Paul is reiterating the same by saying he received the Word of TRUTH, the Ruach, which informs him the law of flesh is sin leading to death, the Law of Sin and Death. How can anyone say that’s ever going to pass? It is permanent. In fact, YAH says HE’s going to “write it on our hearts” in the New Testament. Under the New Covenant we are even more so under the law, but it’s a good thing. Thus, Paul reinforces the Law of Moses, and he is injecting, right here, that it is the first law, the opposite of sin and death. He is saying the Law of Moses is the law he follows, it is the one he keeps and teaches and he’s doing so right now and he does so throughout all of his writings.

Verse 8 – “BUT…” Okay, so now we’re redirecting/contrasting to the opposite. What’s the opposite as we just covered the Law of YAHUAH? The Law of Sin and Death. “BUT sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead. Concupiscence – “Improper or illicit desire; sensual appetite; especially, lustful desire or feeling; sensuality; lust” (Century Dictionary). Again, what is sin? Lawlessness, breaking the law.

Verse 9 – 11 For I was alive without the law once: BUT when the commandment camesin revived, and I died. Paul never claims to be above the law. And the commandment, which was ordained to lifeI found to be unto deathFor sin taking occasion by the commandmentdeceived me, and by it slew me. Oh WOW! Paul is telling us he was a habitual sinner and thought he was living, but was dead. Yet, the Law of YAHUAH which quickeneth (gives life), the RUACH, stood him up and corrected him, and showed him his path to death if he did not change his ways from the Law of Sin and Death, and keep the Law of YAHUAH. “As sin taking occasion (being in contrast/opposite) by the commandment deceived him and killed him, but now he is a new man in YAHUSHA HaMashiach as he keeps HIS law,” whom also affirms YAHUAH’s Law. Praise YAH!!! that we have this same grace afforded us. Recall how Paul was found by the RUACH in Acts 9:3-9? Is Paul not using the actual words of sin and death? Well, hold on as Paul knocks it out of the park and bounces right back to the Law of YAHUAH. How could anyone claim that Paul did not keep and teach the Law of Moses?

Verse 12 – Wherefore the law is Qadesh [holy], and the commandment Qadesh, and just and good.” Even more WOW!! What part of that says, “The Law of Moses passed away?” Which part says the Law of Moses is dead, is a curse, is unpleasing or unfulfilling to YAHUAH? None! Because it’s still “Qadesh” and “just” and “good” in Paul’s day, even after HaMashiach had already ascended to heaven. Because the Law of YAHUAH (oath maker and keeper) includes the Law of Moses and is never abolished, only fulfilled/changed. Yes, YAHUSHA fulfills/changes the Law, the priesthood of Melchisedec (who is of the Ruach of YAHUSHA before HIS earthly birth) (tithing)), by way of Levi (sacrifices), and John the Baptist (water baptism). Are you coming to understanding? Those 3 things were fulfilled and no longer necessary; the Law was changed/fulfilled, but not abolished, yet the rest is necessary still! “Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven“ (Matthew 5:19). Those are YAHUSHA’s Words. Paul will be called “great in the kingdom of Heaven” because he kept the Law of Moses, will you? “As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed” (Galatians 1:9). Those are Paul’s words. Accursed – “loss of everything significant and a lowering to the most menial of positions” (Bible Study Tools). “But the anointing which ye have received of HIM abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him” (1 John 2:27). This is having YAHUSHA abide in you, The RUACH HaQadesh (holy spirit), who teaches you as HE taught Paul above when he knew not the Law of YAHUSHA and thought he was living yet was dead, and the RUACH taught him to know the Law of YAHUAH, the Word, and stood him right up. This is the same thing Paul reaffirms and never strays from. This is what the whole chapter of Hebrews 7 is speaking on. “For the priesthood being changed [from Melchisedec (Ruach of YAHUSHA) to YAHUSHA (Born of Flesh to defeat the Law of Sin and Death)], there is made of necessity a change also of the law [tithing, sacrifice, water baptism is fulfilled (Matthew 5:17)].” “Who [YAHUSHA] is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment [flesh, law of sin and death as HE defeated and redeems us ‘for the price of sin is death’], but after the power of an endless life [Ruach/YAHUSHA/ the Law of YAHUAH/Moses]” (Hebrews 7:16). “For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity [Flesh]; but the word of the oath [YAHUAH the oath maker and keeper = The Word of TRUTH/YAHUSHA who was there and planned since the beginning], which was since the law [always applicable and never ending], maketh the Son [YAHUSHA], who is consecrated for evermore [is and gives eternal life]” (Hebrews 7:28).

When you read Paul properly, you gain a greater understanding of a lot of scripture; a knowledge that all scripture, not the interpretation of the church, but the “rightfully divided Word of Truth” (2 Timothy) supports and reaffirms, itself. Yet, those who lack foundation in understanding that Paul kept and taught the law, get it wrong because they completely abandoned that principle. Paul cannot then break it and instruct you and I to do so. That would make Paul a hypocrite, and he is not. Though, many do misinterpret Paul; Peter says, “they are unlearned.” Many are throwing out Paul’s words because they realize that the church’s Pharisee leaven position does not reconcile, and it doesn’t. Peter warned us saying, “And account that the longsuffering [patience] of YAHUAH is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction” (2 Peter 3:15-16). You see, Paul was already being taken out of context and attacked 2,000 (2,000 out of 11) years ago. Yet the Apostles left him as an apostle; they did not remove him of his position. Other than a few occasions, they did not have a problem with Paul. This is where the Pharisees, because Paul turned on them, have operated as they wish to defile his teachings.

Verse 13 – Was then that which is good made death unto me? YAHUAH forbid. Paul is clarifying his own words here so they cannot be taken out of context, yet they still are. What is Paul asking is good, “that which is good?”—The Law of YAHUSHA/Moses. Yes, it brings life through YAHUSHA, not death, no! “YAHUAH forbid.” But the Law of Sin and Death does; watch this… “BUT sin…” So this isn’t the Law of Moses anymore. Now he’s talking about the Law of Sin and Death: “…that it might appear sin, working death [sin and death—YAH’s law does not require, nor does it work sin and death. YAHUSHA concurred that HIS glory would be to have all of us in HIS kingdom, yet we are full of lusts of the flesh which leads us to death]. “…working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.” Paul is contrasting the difference between the two laws being complete opposites—one of life, and one of death.

Verse 14 – For we know that the law is spiritual. Which law? He’s talking about the Law of Moses, the Law of HaMashiach, the law of life, the Law of YAHUAH, not the Law of Sin and Death. But that is coming riiiiight now! “BUT I am carnal, sold under Sin.” Sin and death. We are born in sin due to Adamah’s giving into it; he sold us to sin.

Verse 15 – “For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.” That might sound a little confusing. Simply, Paul is saying, “I don’t do what I should do by my nature, my sinful fleshly nature.” He is saying that his flesh does not want to do the law of YAHUAH, but the law of sin. Paul is rebuking the modern church here because it, too, is under the Law of Sin and Death. He continues, saying, “But I want to be under the law of Moses, the law of the life.”

Verse 16 – “If then, I do that which I would not…” So, “those things that I don’t want to do, because I don’t want to do good, my flesh doesn’t want to do good.” “…I consent unto the law that it is good. Doing good is fulfilling the law of Moses. Doing bad is fulfilling the flesh. This is what many miss in the context of this passage. Paul is saying, “If I go against my nature to sin under the Law of Sin and Death, I consent/keep the law of life, the Law of Moses, and overcome the Law of Sin and Death.” Just as YAHUSHA did, only HE did it perfectly. Baruhk be our Brother, Savior, and King, YAHUSHA HaMashiach!!!

Verse 17 – “Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.” So, the devil made you do it, Paul; is that what he’s saying? No! Not at all. The Devil didn’t do anything to you (read the post, “STOP, The Devil didn’t do anything to you.” We also have a part II coming). Paul’s not blaming anyone but himself. It is his flesh, his sinful nature that’s his, and he owns it. HaMashiach conquered that so we do not have to live in the flesh under sin and death any longer. How do we do that? By doing the opposite process, by keeping the law of life, the Law of Moses. Paul, as is YAHUSHA, is very clear they both teach to keep the Law of Moses.

Verse 18 – “For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing.”  Good things/good fruit, which is the Will of YAHUAH, the Law of Moses, the law of life. Paul says, “for that is my sinful nature from the Law of Sin and Death,” which is not the Law of Moses. He says in 1 Corinthians 9:27 as an act of spiritual discipline, that he beats his body to earn the crown of everlasting life: “But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.” Paul understands his nature is to sin by the flesh, so he defeats the lusts of the flesh by spiritually beating those things, fasting, praying, keeping the Law of YAHUAH. “For to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.” Good—what is good? Paul defined that (above) as the Law of Moses in exact language when he quoted that he follows “thou shall not covet,” and when he said good fruit, as opposed to bad fruit, pleases YAHUAH. He is saying here that he’s unable to do what is good, he’s unable to perform the Law of Moses. Why? Because of the flesh. Because of the Law of Sin and Death. These are exact opposites at odds with each other, the battle of flesh and Ruach (spirit): “For the flesh lusteth against the Ruach, and the Ruach against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.” “And they that are HaMashiach’s [The Word, the Law of YAHUAH] have crucified the flesh [along] with the affections and lusts [law of sin and death]” (Galatians 5:17 & 24). That, too, is Paul reiterating himself, and affirming YAHUSHA and Moses.

Verse 19 – “For the good [good fruit, Law of Moses] that I would I do not.” He is saying, “I don’t perform the Law of Moses, the good, because of my flesh.” Is he blaming his flesh? No! His flesh is him; he is taking the blame—my flesh is me, when I am in YAHUSHA, the Ruach is teaching me. I am developing my relationship with YAHUAH through YAHUSHA by doing the Will of YAHUAH, keeping HIS law as taught to us by YAHUSHA. Your flesh is you. You don’t get to say, “Oh no, no, no, I didn’t do that. That was my hand.” Nope! It was your hand, you are responsible for it. Just as we are responsible for how we are a part of the body of YAHUSHA. “But the evil which I would not, that I do.” So, “that which I do not wish to do, as I want to do good, I really want to, but I end up doing the evil anyway.” This is our struggle between flesh and Ruach. This is what Paul’s laying out here in these two laws that we’ve been dealing with since the days of Adamah. Solomon said, “there is nothing new under the sun” (Ecclesiastes 1:9). YAHUAH said, “Same people of yesterday is the same people of today,” just different clothing.

Verse 20 – “Now if I do that I would not…” He is saying, “you’re doing what you don’t want to do; you’re going against your flesh.” “…it is no more I that do it, but sin the dwelleth in me.” Again, the devil doesn’t make you do it. Your flesh is you; you are responsible for those decisions. What do we do about this conflict? Paul, just as YAHUSHA, tells us…

Verse 21-22 – I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me. For I delight in the law of YAHUAH after the inward man. Waaaaaiiit a minute here, stop the presses! What does Paul firmly say in his own words that he delights in? The law of YAHUAH, the Law of YAHUSHA, the Law of Moses. “No he didn’t, this is not so; the church says the law is abolished.” But YAHUSHA said those who teach men that the law is abolished, and those who do not keep the Law, are “accursed.” There is only ONE YAHUAH, ONE YAHUSHA, ONE Law! Anything in opposition is the “Law of Sin and Death.” This is what the church is leading you to, please be careful. In fact, Paul tells us that’s Satanism…

Verse 23 – “BUT I see another law in my members…” Ah ha! “Another” insinuating there’s two laws—what’s the other law? Well, it’s not the law of YAHUAH, as we have the redirector/contrasting word “BUT”—this is another reason to learn from the KJV, as other versions may not have the redirectors, thereby confusing context. Paul is speaking of the law of the adversary, the spirit of gog of magog, the Nephilim, principalities in high places, workers of Satan, the Law of Sin and Death: “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places” (Ephesians 6:12). Paul is consistent in redirecting as you learned YAHUSHA taught in the same way, as did YAHUAH in the Tanakh. YAHUAH purposely placed this RUACH upon Paul to teach in this manner. Paul says this law is “in his members” meaning body, the flesh. Just as we are members, spiritually, when keeping the law, of the body of HaMashiach, the contrast of the 2 Laws. YAHUSHA instructs that if a member (such as your hand) sins, cut it off. Of course, not literally, but figuratively. That is, however, how serious this matter is as if we do not the Will of YAHUAH, we, too, are cut off as a member of the body of YAHUSHA. Note: It is symbolic, please do not cut off any members of your body, that alone would be sinful, for the body is the temple of YAHUAH; take care of it, do good (bear Good Fruit unto YAHUAH by doing HIS Will, teaching HIS Law and Good Works by doing them).

What does Paul say this other law does? “…warring against the law… Against what law? It is a law, but it’s warring against the law. Which is it, law? Or law? It’s easy when we read it in context; he says, “I see another law.” He just got done telling you the law of YAHUAH, so another law is the Law of Sin and Death. Paul is saying that the Law of Sin and Death is against the law he’s talking about now, the law of Moses; that the Law of Sin and Death is at odds with the law of Moses. “…against the law of my mind (see post, “Renewing, Changing, and Transforming the Mind, Heart, and Soul”), “and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin [sin and death] which is in my members. There you have it; the Law of Sin and Death brings us into captivity, into bondage. This is the law of the flesh/sin which keeps us in bondage and leads us to death. The Law of Moses is the Law of YAHUAH and YAHUSHA which is the law of life eternal. These two are at odds within us: the battle of flesh and Ruach; bad fruit and Good Fruit; death and Life; disobedience and Obedience; law breaking and Law Abiding; of this world vs of The Body of YAHUSHA, abiding in HIM; unholy and Holy (Qadesh). Watch Paul bring this home…

Verse 24 – “Oh wretched man that I am!” We are all sinners saved by grace; just like Noah was… that’s not the New Testament, is it? We know, we know… the church teaches grace is the so-called New Testament, no! That’s not so, but we’ll cover that at another time. Besides, come on now… was it not grace that YAHUAH temporarily allowed the sacrifice of animals to HIS appeasement? With which HE was never pleased? HE is only pleased in the sacrifice of perfection within HIS Son, so was that not grace? “Who shall deliver me from the body of this death [from the Law of Sin and Death]?

Verse 25 – “I thank YAHUAH through YAHUSHA HaMashiach our Savior.” All Praise and Glory in the Wisdom of YAHUAH and the sacrifice of YAHUSHA!! Because YAHUSHA has delivered us from our fleshly nature, from the Law of Sin and Death. That’s the evil law of “bad fruit”, not from “the law of Moses, which is Good Fruit and Qadesh [holy],” in Paul’s words. So then with the mind I myself [Paul] serve the law of YAHUAH. Which he already equated to the Law of Moses.

Paul admits throughout all of his writings, when one knows how to read it in context, that he serves the Law of YAHUAH, the Law of Moses, by Paul’s own definition. Does Paul abandon the Law of Moses? No! He does them and teaches them. Prepare for the redirector, the contrast… “BUT with the flesh the law of sin.” Could this not be any clearer when you break it down in context? That Paul is saying when he is ready to sin, he thinks on the Law of YAHUAH, the Ruach stands him up, though he is not deserving, and he thanks YAHUAH through YAHUSHA, so then by the renewal of the mind (see post), Paul serves the Law of YAHUAH. But with the flesh, the heart (what is in the heart will win), the Law of Sin and Death. Wow! These are Paul’s words.

Every time you hear someone taking fragments out of this and teaching different, they have just exposed themselves to be unlearned, lack understanding, of lowly position. YAHUSHA tells us to out-think and out-walk them: “For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 5:20). We have just covered Romans chapter 7 beginning at verse 4; however, Paul continues to reinforce the Law of Moses, and becomes even clearer in chapter 8. Yet we’ll start here: “For the wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23). That is a contrast—the 2nd law, of sin and death, which he then redirects/contrasts to the 1st law, the law of life/Moses/YAHUSHA/YAHUAH: “BUT the gift of YAHUAH is eternal life through YAHUSHA HaMashiach our Savior.” So Paul is affirming the same thing here. What does YAHUSHA say about it? The same thing HE and Paul have affirmed throughout their ministry, and YAHUSHA is still fulfilling: “Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot [dot on the i] or one tittle [cross on the t] shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled [if things are being fulfilled and earth and heaven has yet to pass/come then the law is still applicable]. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments [not one is to be broken, only fulfilled], and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do [Good Works unto YAHUAH] and teach them [Good Fruit unto YAHUAH (Faith in the WORD/YAHUSHA)], the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees [because they teach that the law has passed away and it hasn’t, and they hide the TRUTH. So, ‘study to shew thyself approved’], ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 5:17-20). He did not come to abolish the law, but to fulfill, and even gives a timeline for such fulfillment, which is on the day of final judgment.

Romans 8:1 – “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in HaMashiach YAHUSHA…” Normally the church will not go any farther than this, why? “…who walk not after the flesh…” [the Law of Sin and Death] “…but after the Ruach [Spirit].” The Law of Moses. Wait, so no condemnation? This is used as a blanket to sin and be lawless, and no one is allowed to condemn? Is that what is being said? On the contrary. In order for us not to receive deserved condemnation, we have to “walk not after the flesh,” the Law of Sin and Death, but after the Ruach, the Law of Moses. Herein lies the ultimate setup for this and all previous chapters, and pretty much all of Paul’s writings.

Verse 2 – “For the law of the RUACH of life in HaMashiach YAHUSHA [law of Moses, the law of life] hath made me free from the Law of Sin and Death.”  What did Paul just say made him free from the Law of Sin and Death? The Law of Moses, “The Law of the Ruach of life,” has made him free from the Law of Sin and Death. We are not free from the Law of Moses, no, that would be unlearned or deceitful to even insinuate such. We are free from the Law of Sin and Death; YAHUSHA conquered that. And according to YAHUSHA, we are not free from the Law of Moses until “all be fulfilled.” The fulfillment of the law written by the very finger of YAHUAH himself. The law is what redeems us. HIS law which never changed and is only fulfilled. Can YAHUAH amend something for the times? Of Course. Did HE though? No! By HIS Grace and Ultimate Wisdom, the Law of Sin and Death has been fulfilled. YAHUSHA enlightens us to this in the Sermon on the mountain which is where the church claims, “Messiah established new law,” when what HE does to those in search for TRUTH is reaffirm 5 of the 10 Commandments, specifically by name; even other portions of the law as well. The basis of everything YAHUSHA said in that sermon originated in the Law of YAHUAH/Moses, which HE reaffirms and does not abolish, and says so in HIS Words. Now we are learning that Paul is doing the same thing, as he should, and he better. Because even though we’re told the opposite, Paul cannot abolish law; he has no such authority. Neither do you, or I, none of us, and definitely not any Pope. Who does operate in this manner? The Pharisees do, as called out in Scripture many times over as being against HIS commandments, HIS Law. The church generally has been hijacked by that Pharisee doctrine, which we call church doctrine. Let’s read a bit more of how Paul breaks it down, making it easier to understand law #1, the Law of Moses, law of life, Law of YAHUAH, all the same. And, law #2, the Law of Sin and Death in direct contrast, the exact opposite, that has been conquered by HaMashiach…

Verse 3 – “For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh…” Is Paul saying the law of life, the Law of Moses is weak through the flesh? No, this is the Law of Sin and Death; we have to make sure we’re looking at the right law. “Which law?” is the first question we need to ask every time we see the word “law” in this passage and in all of Paul’s writings. “…YAHUAH sending his own son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh.” This is why YAHUSHA had to come in the flesh and be born of a woman. HE came from the priesthood of Melchisedec (YAHUSHA not born of woman) to the Priesthood of HaMashiach (YAHUSHA born in the flesh to conquer the Law of Sin and Death), because the flesh is the Law of Sin and Death which YAHUSHA had to overcome to afford us the opportunity for life everlasting. HE fulfilled for us what we cannot do as we are born in sin, we are of a sinful nature and weak. YAHUSHA was born the same, yet HE defeated it… Praise YAH! This passage speaks of the Law of Sin and Death, and not the Law of Moses, though, the church and Pharisees teach that the context is the Law of Moses—that is false doctrine.

Verse 4 – “THAT the righteousness of the law… We have redirected—it’s a different law, it’s a different mention. “[R]ighteousness law.” Which is the righteous law? That is the Law of Moses, the law of life, Good fruits & Works. “…might be fulfilled in us…” Of course, Paul wasn’t saying the Law of Sin and Death might be fulfilled in us. “…might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh [the Law of Sin and Death], “but after the Ruach.” The law of Moses. It continues to contrast the two Laws over and over, almost like a broken record—young folk, however, may not know the sound of a broken record. So you really cannot mistake it, yet they do, the unlearned and/or deceitful. Law #2 starts riiiight… here!

Verse 5-6 – “For they that are after the flesh [sin and death] do mind the things of the flesh; BUT they that are after the Ruach [law of life] the things of the RUACH. For to be carnally minded [worldly, physically, fleshly minded] is death; but to be spiritually minded [abide in YAHUSHA, the Law of YAHUAH/Moses, the Ruach in you] that’s the law of life and peace. They are polar opposites, two laws opposing each other is what we’re dealing with. Now he really defines it, Paul is so super clear when you look at it in true context.

Verse 7 – “Because the carnal mind is enmity against YAHfor it is not subject to the law of YAHUAH, neither indeed can be.” We have the Law of Sin and Death and the Law of YAHUAH, the Law of Moses. Sin and death is not the Law of YAHUAH, it’s not HIS plan, but a curse. It was not in the beginning, it came later as a punishment for Adamah’s sin. That’s what’s being laid out, and that’s why HaMashiach had to come in the flesh; Adamah sinned in the flesh and YAHUSHA had to come in the flesh and conquer the Law of Sin and Death that was put into play at the time of Adamah’s sin. This all makes perfect sense, Paul is so clear. Where have we heard that word “enmity” before? Ahh, “And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel” (Genesis 3:15). The carnal mind is of the serpent (enmity against YAH). It is not subject to the law as the covenant was not made with the devil, but Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (Yasharal). “Enmity between thee [the serpent] and the woman.” So this is Genesis, the first book of the bible prophesying all the way through to Revelation, the last book of the bible, of the “woman in travail” in Revelation 12&13. How awesome! YAHUAH continues, “and between thy seed and her seed.” What does this mean? The serpent, who is the devil, satan, and the Red Dragon of Revelation 12 & 13, has a seed who will be against the seed of the travailing woman? Yes, the fallen angels went in unto the daughters of men and birthed Nephilim who are the giants and more—the spirit of gog (a Nephilim) of magog (Russia, where he is from). Gog (the controller of the evil spirits who roam the planet tormenting) has been after the children of Yasharal since his inception. Gog uses the people of the Nephilim bloodline and evil spirits to bring us down. Further, the woman in travail is Yasharal whom the Red Dragon pursues. Finally, YAHUSHA was born of the bloodline of David who is of the tribe of Yahudah, a tribe of the children of Yasharal. Did not satan try to tempt YAHUSHA when HE was fasting 40 days and 40 nights? This has never stopped and will not stop until YAHUSHA finally destroys satan.

Because YAHUSHA conquered the Law of Sin and Death, we can live eternally, not in the flesh. We who are found keeping HIS Law will receive heavenly bodies on the day of judgment as told by scripture. Our Ruachs will live forever if we are in HIM. And as HE said, “if you love me keep my commandments”; HIS two, which sums the 10. Salvation is not a New Testament concept in origin. It begins in what we call the Bible today in Genesis 3:15. Jubilees has an even better, very specific, and incredible prophecy of HaMashiach. Adamah did not need salvation in the Garden of Eden, he would have never needed to be saved as the Law of Sin and Death was not yet enacted—not until he sinned and then he fell under the curse of the Law of Sin and Death. This is why we can never understand the New Testament without the Tanakh. The Law of Sin and Death is the law which we are redeemed from. We have a choice, we do not have to face the death that Adamah brought into the world with his sin any longer. No wonder the spirit of gog, working through the pharisees and church, instructs us to stay out of the Tanakh until they want to collect some money. YAHUAH’s law has been since creation. It was the same in the time of Noah, the same Law of Moses, and it remains the same law today which we also proved from YAHUSHA’s two Commandments, the Sermon on the Mount, and other areas. Are we entering a new covenant? Yes, that’s what scripture says, but it is based on the Old. You don’t just throw it out and forget it ever happened because HE does not change, and YAHUAH/YAHUSHA are the same yesterday, today, and forever. Are we under a new law? Yes, but it is based on the Old. We do not throw out all the foundation of what YAHUAH has required from the beginning and start over because YAHUSHA fulfills the law and says, “HE does not abolish not one letter of it, not one jot or one tittle.” We, too, conquer sin and death by fulfilling the law, the Law of Moses. However, only YAHUSHA can do that in completion. Do we wish to please YAHUAH or not? Paul challenges us here, he tells us we please YAHUAH by keeping HIS law…

Verse 8 – “So then they that are in the flesh [under the Law of Sin and Death] cannot please YAHUAH.”  You cannot please YAHUAH living under the Law of Sin and Death. HE never intended that for mankind, no. How do we please HIM?

Verse 9 – “But ye are not in the flesh [under sin and death].” We are not to operate in the flesh. “But in the Ruach[the law of life, the law of Moses which operates in the Ruach], if so be that the RUACH of YAHUAH dwell in you.” How does Paul equate this as we have seen several times thus far? By keeping the law of life, the Law of Moses. That is what overcomes the Law of Sin and Death, that is what it means to be in the RUACH, and that’s why YAHUSHA says, “If you love HIM keep HIS Commandments as HE kept HIS Abbah’s [Father’s].” YAHUSHA says in Revelation that “those who are of the TRUTH, the remnant, Qahal/ecclesia, will be found keeping his Commandments.” This is what makes you the set apart, as very few properly keep HIS Commandments… they do matter, they always have, and they always will. That is what it means to be in the Ruach, not some tingly experience or running and jumping around making strange noises. It’s about keeping HIS commandments, HIS law, HIS way.

This is a relationship, not a quick experience. It’s not saying a prayer and checking a box; it’s a relationship, long-term. If you are in a relationship you call them by their name because you know what it is as they give it to you, in this case by the Ruach. You do not address them by a generic title. You do not call your wife “woman,” or your husband “man.” How will they respect you? Will they even answer? It is time for this people, especially the chosen, to learn the Law and restore it just as the prophecies say we will. This is not some disjointed A.D.D. approach, it’s very systematic. We are sounding the trumpet to those that are chosen to accept TRUTH on how to fulfill the very prophecies. This is no minor task as it comes with an earthly cost of many, especially those closest to you thinking you are crazy, or just dodge you altogether. Yet, we will not stray from TRUTH to please men. As you can see, we certainly do not take our role as watchmen lightly; this is happening, and we hope to rise with the remnant around the world. It is already starting… “Now if any man have not the Ruach of HaMashiach…” Where does that come from? YAHUSHA said, “the words I speak unto you are spirit and they are life.” The Word includes the Law of Moses, that’s what Paul reiterates many times over; he’s been leading to that conclusion. And the pharisees say Paul abolished the law of Moses! “…he is none of HIS.” Did you get that? If you are following sin, and death, and the flesh, and not HIS law, the Law of Moses, the law of life, then you are not YAHUAH’s, you are not YAHUSHA’s, you are not in HIS Qahal (so-called church), you are not in HIM, and HE is not in you. That’s what YAHUSHA said and Paul reaffirms.

Does Paul ever advocate, “all you got to do is say a prayer, check a box, and you’re safe forever,” or “once saved always saved,” or “you better keep my law or you are not mine”? Paul never says that. What he says is “if we are not keeping YAHUAH’s Law, we are not HIS.” That is why the prophesy of YAHUSHA says in Revelation that the remnant is found keeping HIS Law, and why the Chosen will restore HIS Law and rise against the Beast, GOG of magog, in the last days. This must and will happen, it is written.

Verse 10 – “And if HaMashiach be in you, the body is dead because of sin; BUT the Ruach is life because of righteousness.” See, the flesh dies, the Law of Sin and Death; BUT, the Ruach takes over when you are of righteousness, the Law of YAHUAH/YAHUSHA/Moses. What other measure of right could there possibly be? There must be a law to measure righteousness against, at all times, at any point in order to even use the word “righteousness”—it was born when Adamah sinned. It must be defined by law. Earlier in chapter 7 Paul said, “he did not know he was living a life of sin and death until he learned the Law of YAHUAH, which the Ruach stood him up to learn.” Paul set us up for this and that is why the back and forth. It might seem like a ping-pong match, but it’s actually brilliant through the Divine Wisdom of YAHUAH. This will no longer be something that we struggle with. Paul’s writings will no longer be over our head, as we can understand it in context because we have learned his style of writing. Paul’s conclusion defines being in the Ruach as obeying the Law, what law? By now we know even without reading; however, we must never assume. YAHUSHA gave us two laws: love YAHUAH, and Love thy Neighbor. As does Paul define two laws:

  • Law #1 – the Law of life, Apostles, Moses, Ruach, YAHUSHA, YAHUAH, righteousness, good fruit, etc.

vs.

  • Law #2 – the law of death, worldly, traditions of men, deceits of the church/pharisees, gog of magog, Nephilim, satan, wrong, evil, etc.

Verse 11 – “But if the RUACH of HIM that raised up YAHUSHA from the dead dwell in you” [that means you are keeping HIS law as the RUACH HaQadesh guides you so]“HE that raised up HaMashiach from the dead shall also quicken [give life to] your mortal bodies by his RUACH [HIS Law] that dwelleth in you. Why are many christians not experiencing this? Oh they read it, they quote it, but why aren’t many christians experiencing this kind of freedom? It says here and throughout scripture that “freedom comes by keeping the Law,” that “keeping the Law is freedom.” Yet we’re told by men/pharisees/church that keeping the Law is the bondage… No! The law of bondage is the Law of Sin and Death. See, if they are not keeping the law, here Paul says, and YAHUSHA says, and YAHUAH says, and even Moses says, “they are lawless and still under the Law of Sin and Death. They are not free, they are unlearned, they are not HIS, HE is not in them, they are living the life of death, etc.” That is why they lack understanding, they lack in their relationship with YAHUSHA—these are not my words. They/we do not have to be in bondage, we can be free from the Law of Sin and Death by keeping the Law of Moses, the law of life. Back to law #2, sin and death…

Verse 12 – “Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.” So, our debt is to YAHUSHA for HIS sacrifice for our sins, that we may live a life free from the Law of Sin and Death. So pay homage, honor HIM by living in righteousness which scripture defines as keeping the Law of YAHUSHA/YAHUAH/Moses.

Verse 13 – “For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die.” Paul is speaking on Salvation. Is he saying, “If you are not saved you are going to experience physical death”? No, we’re all going to experience physical death; it’s appointed for all men to die. However, this is talking about spiritual death, not receiving the RUACH. Those that are not saved will die, and they will die spiritually, once and for all, the 2nd death; “because you kept not my commandments.” Those who do, will live, and that’s why you see in scripture that you will live, then you will die, then you will live, and you will die. We see that over and over again and in context this is what it means; you will die spiritually, why? The flesh is submissive and under the Law of Sin and Death from which we are redeemed. But how are we redeemed? We are redeemed from the Law of Sin and Death by keeping the law of life, the Law of Moses. In contrast, Paul takes us back to the law of life, the Law of Moses: “For if ye through the Ruach do mortify the deeds of the body [kill the deeds of the body, kill the law of the flesh, kill the Law of Sin and Death]ye shall live.” That’s the law of life.

Verse 14 – “For as many as are led by the RUACH of YAHUAH [The Ruach who teaches the law of Moses as HE taught Paul]they are the sons of YAHUAH.” Are we the sons of YAHUAH because we say a prayer and check a box, once saved always saved? Nonsense, that is not Scripture. We are to be led by the RUACH to keep HIS Law, according to Paul, and HaMashiach, and all apostles, and Prophets. Even the Roman Catholic Church agrees with 8 of the 10 commandments; yet the 4th one, the Sabbath they changed to sun-day; and the 2nd, idol worship, they just abolished, because they are all about idol worship. Just look at their buildings and ceremonies, they are always marching around and praising some statue of a woman figure and/or saint. No one, Paul nor HaMashiach, nor anyone in the Bible ever says the Law of YAHUAH/YAHUSHA/Moses is passed away, done away with, abolished, not honored, not kept. In fact, to the contrary, everyone reaffirms that it is and always has been applicable, and to be the Will of YAHUAH defined as Good Fruit when teaching, and Good Works when keeping HIS Law.

When redeeming Paul’s words to their actual context, he is so clear, yet Pharisee leaven has corrupted his writings for 2,000 years. Unfortunately, Pharisee leaven has misguided us for far too long. We encourage you not to blame your pastor; do not go out and yell at people over it, no. We can restore TRUTH gently and firmly in the manner in which YAHUSHA did teach. Sound the trumpet, let’s try to get them to understand as we battle not against flesh and blood… but against principalities. Through them the spirit of gog works. Well, no more! We know how to read Paul, we can all wake up. Through this discussion we have further strengthened our armor of YAHUAH by taking from the adversary what he has held against us for so long. He can no longer use Paul’s writings as a tool against us. We all know now that Paul reaffirms the law of Moses as the law of life from YAHUSHA, which is exactly what we already discussed from some of the other 80 books of the bible; well, 2 books make no sense at all and do not match up to any of the others (different topic). We have affirmed this from the apostles and YAHUSHA. This world has been, and many still are, in a “strong delusion” (2 Thessalonians 2:8-11). However, it is time, as knowledge is increasing, for the Dark Ages to end. Now, when you go back and read chapters 1 through 6 and beyond, you will now easily understand what Paul is saying. You will see that he continues with these two laws in principle as he always does, even in his other letters.

So as you see, Paul teaches the same thing YAHUAH and YAHUSHA teach; the Law of YAHUAH was since the beginning. Adamah sinned, thereby birthing the Law of Sin and Death, the opposite of Life, YAHUAH’s Law. For this reason, many iniquities men do. YAHUAH entered covenant with Yasharal. However, when the seed of Jacob fell into bondage in Egypt, YAHUAH brought them out to prepare them for their kingdom. Yet, they were very broken, lacked faith, did not know YAHUAH, and worshipped other gods. Therefore, HE conditioned them in the desert and entered covenant with them through the Law of Moses. Keeping the law is in preparation for the kingdom, yet Yasharal continues, unto this day, to fail in keeping our part of the covenant, keep HIS Law. Where the Law of Moses failed, is that the penalty for sin is death still existed, because of Adamah. And every man will sin, and thereby must die the 2nd death. YAHUSHA was born of woman/flesh and defeated the Law of Sin and Death that Adamah introduced, by not sinning, not giving into HIS flesh, dying for our sins—as the cost of them is death—and resurrecting, bringing new life, a new law of life (chance of), and not sin and death only. Now, we may be forgiven of our sins if we repent “AND” do good according to TRUTH. This is the GRACE afforded us by YAHUAH. YAHUSHA did not defeat the Law of Moses as it is still applicable as you observed in this discussion. Following this Law keeps you in Good Works, teaching others to do so bears you Good Fruit. That is how you build your relationship with HIM. Knowing this and doing these means you have faith in YAHUSHA, faith that HE came, defeated, was crucified, resurrected, and will return. Anything else, even breaking the least of these commandments is faithlessness, lawlessness, bad fruit, unpleasing to YAHUAH. Thereby deeming YAHUSHA’s sacrifice vain (empty, for nothing, bears no fruit). Repent, AND follow, and teach HIS Commandments; don’t just believe in HIM, come to Know HIM. Even Paul instructs all of the same.

Can you, by keeping the law, earn your way into salvation? No, you cannot work your way into the Kingdom of YAHUAH. You must have the RUACH in you living YAHUAH’s Will with joy, not just work. Being in the Ruach and the Ruach in you is building your relationship with YAHUSHA and keeping HIS two Commandments: Loving YAHUAH with all of you, and Loving thy neighbor as thyself; these entail the 10 Commandments of YAHUAH. Let the Ruach guide you in “fruit”… How? “But the fruit of the RUACH is love, joy, peace, longsuffering (patience), gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are HaMashiach’s have crucified the flesh [along] with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Ruach, let us also walk in the Ruach. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another” (Galatians 5:22-26). Thereby, pleasing YAHUAH and not being in opposition of the Ruach, which is pleasing the lusts of the flesh: “For the flesh lusteth against the Ruach, and the Ruach against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. But if ye be led of the Ruach, ye are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of YAHUAH.” (Galatians 5:17-21). There you have it. Paul has always taught the same; change your ways. Having these attributes in you and not giving into the flesh means you are automatically keeping the Law. Renew your mind and transform your heart (see post).

All Honor, Praise, Power, Glory, and Salvation be to YAHUAH!! Baruhk be our savior and King YAHUSHA HaMashiach!!
