Affliction: that which causes pain and suffering through physical, mental, and/or spiritual distress.
“We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not despairing; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying about in the dying of HaMashiach, so that the life of HaMashiach also may be manifested in our body. For we who live are constantly being delivered over to death for YAHUSHA’s sake, so that the life of the HaMashiach also may be manifested in our mortal flesh” (2 Corinthians 4:8-11).
“Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but YAHUAH delivereth him out of them all” (Psalm 34:19).
“It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes” (Psalms 119-71).
“For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory” (2 Corinthians 4:17).
Psalms 34:1-3, 8-22: “I will bless [extol] YAHUAH at all times: HIS praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make her boast in YAHUAH: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad. O magnify YAHUAH with me, and let us exalt his name together” (Psalm 34:1-3). “O taste and see that YAHUAH is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. O fear YAHUAH, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him. The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek YAHUAH shall not want any good thing. Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of YAHUAH. What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good?” (Psalm 34:8-12). (YAHUSHA said, “He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal” (John 12:25) and “He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it” (Matthew 10:39)) “Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile. Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it. The eyes of YAHUAH are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry. The face of YAHUAH is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth. The righteous cry, and YAHUAH heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles. YAHUAH is nigh [near] unto them that are of a broken heart [due to absence of Truth in this world]; and saveth such as be of a contrite [remorse, guilt, conflicted for first living not in Truth] spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but YAHUAH delivereth him out of them all. HE keepeth all his bones [valley of dry bones]: not one of them is broken [crucifixion of YAHUSHA prophesy, and none of HIS chosen being left as dry bones]. Evil shall slay the wicked [unrighteous]: and they that hate the righteous [HIS chosen, servants] shall be desolate. YAHUAH redeemeth the soul of HIS servants: and none of them that trust in HIM shall be desolate” (Psalm 34:13-22).
Here is one of the greatest expressions of a person who is afflicted by her guilt of not living right, yet found the truth, and demonstrated her faith. Even after being called one of the lowest creatures on earth, and being insulted/afflicted by YAHUSHA, the Word himself, her faith never turned; she kept the faith through her affliction, she “endured till the end” of her affliction. She was not ashamed, she was humbled. She did not get into her feelings: turn away, or jump up and leave upset. She did not shun the TRUTH because it was uncomfortable, she embraced it: “For a certain woman, whose young daughter had an unclean spirit, heard of HIM, and came and fell at HIS feet: The woman was a Greek, a Syrophenician by nation; and she besought HIM that he would cast forth the devil out of her daughter. But YAHUSHA said unto her, Let the children [lost sheep of Yasharal, whom HE came for] first be filled [with HIS virtue]: for it is not meet to take the children’s bread [HIS body, the WORD of TRUTH], and to cast it unto the dogs [gentiles, other nations]. And she answered and said unto HIM, Yes, Master: yet the dogs under the table [those outside of the covenant] eat of the children’s crumbs [Yahudim, the natural branch, is the light unto the gentiles, the grafted branch]. And he said unto her, For this saying go thy way; the devil is gone out of thy daughter. And when she was come to her house, she found the devil gone out, and her daughter laid upon the bed” (Mark 7:26-30). ALL Honor, Praise, and Glory be to YAHUAH!! Most of us are even afraid of “reading” truth; as soon as we read or hear something uncomfortable, which afflicts our soul, we turn right away from it, that it will make us unbelieve the comforts/lies of our previous teachings. Let alone will you allow someone to ridicule said beliefs while, still, you beg for mercy at their feet. Begging for fruit of truth is beneath you, because you do not want your faith changed from all that was drilled into you all your life.
But now the WORD is here—the books that Daniel (12:4) and John (Revelation 10:4) were ordered to shut up until the time of the end; the Word of Truth is walking amongst us, light is shining on those in search of the truth, the Word is trying to afflict you, trying to get you to worship at its feet, give up what was drilled into you and come to HIM, the WORD of TRUTH, the TRUE YAHUSHA HaMashiach. This is why we are instructed to “not conform to this world, to put on the new man and be renewed in the spirit of our mind and heart, by putting away the lies we hear and speak, and follow what is good to YAHUAH” (Ephesians 4:23-32, Romans 12:2). “Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues” (Revelation 18:4). Come out of this world, be of the chosen! and not like those in Isaiah 30:8-14 who beg to be hidden from YAHUAH, the TRUTH. This woman was not even of a nation who HE came for. She knew she lived wrong; she knew she was not chosen and He told her so. However, she found/kept faith and was humbled because she knew only the Word of Truth may heal her daughter’s Ruach (spirit). We are told in Daniel 12:4, “Many will run back and forth and knowledge will increase in the time of the end”; today, more people are leaving the church doctrines and finding TRUTH. YAHUSHA, only because this woman’s knowledge increased and gave her strong faith in the TRUTH, healed her. Let this word cast out the lying spirits in your life. Find this TRUTH and let it take over you! All Honor, Praise, Power, and Glory be to YAHUAH and our savior YAHUSHA HaMashiach!!!
The WORD/YAHUSHA defines a friend as someone who loves the TRUTH, who will afflict you when you are not living right by the Word, one who is willing to lay down their life for one of their brethren (not just anyone). And that our brethren are those, and only those, who are also of the TRUTH, who will “Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove [reject, disapprove], rebuke [criticize, correct], exhort [strongly: encourage, advise, to call out] with all longsuffering [long fuse, patience, self-restraint] and doctrine [The Rightfully Divided Word of Truth]” (2 Timothy 4:2) thereby afflicting our very souls, and are willing to lay down their lives for us. “Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend” (Proverbs 27:17). See, we are/may become friends, according to the WORD, not the earthly definition. We ask nothing from you, we only want to see you in the kingdom of YAHUAH… We have yet to say anything flattering, we speak only the truth, regardless of how strange it may sound to the unlearned, or how uncomfortable it may make you feel; it does not matter how many associates, or so-called family members we lose or fewer invites we receive to events. “For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of YAHUAH? Or am I striving to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a bond-servant of YAHUSHA HaMashiach” (Galatians 1:10). “Let me now be partial to no one, Nor flatter any man. For I do not know how to flatter, Else my Maker would soon take me away” (Job 32:21-22). YAHUSHA tells us that the world hated HIM first, and it will hate those of us also in the TRUTH because HE chose us out of it.
The Word reminds us that pleasing men is not what we are here for: YAHUSHA said, “I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit [see also: parable of talents; Matthew 25:14-30]. Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love. These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his master doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you. Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. These things I command you, that ye love one another. If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also. But all these things will they do unto you for my name’s sake, because they know not him that sent me. If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloak for their sin. He that hateth me hateth my Father also. If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father. But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause. But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Ruach [Spirit] of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me: And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning” (John 15:18-27). To be hated by this world, when in the TRUTH, is a badge of Great Honor. Many in this world actually thought “YAHUSHA was casting out evil by the way of evil” in Matthew 12:22-32 and Luke 11:14-23. Therefore, we, being much less than YAHUSHA, may expect such behavior… we stay armored!
And what does the Word say about those who are not your friend? Well… “And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works” (2 Corinthians 11:14-15). “Faithful are the wounds of a friend, But deceitful are the kisses of an enemy” (Proverbs 27:6). “There is nothing reliable in what they say; Their inward part is destruction itself. Their throat is an open grave; They flatter with their tongue” (Psalms 5:9). “A lying tongue hates those it crushes, and a flattering mouth works ruin” (Proverbs 26:28). “They speak falsehood to one another; With flattering lips and with a double heart they speak. May YAHUAH cut off all flattering lips, The tongue that speaks great things” (Psalms 12:2-3). “If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man’s religion is vain” (James 1:26). “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof” (Proverbs 18:21). And we know how people love to hear themselves speak. “Thy tongue deviseth mischiefs; like a sharp razor, working deceitfully” (Psalms 52:2). “That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children that will not hear the law of YAHUAH: Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits: Get you out of the way, turn aside out of the path, cause the Holy One of Israel [Qodeshim of Yasharal] to cease from before us. Wherefore thus saith the Qodeshim of Yasharal, Because ye despise this word [YAHUSHA], and trust in oppression and perverseness, and stay thereon: Therefore this iniquity shall be to you as a breach ready to fall, swelling out in a high wall, whose breaking cometh suddenly at an instant” (Isaiah 30:9-13). (As instant “as a thief in the night” 2 Peter 3:10). “And I will kill her [the churches] children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am HE which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works” (Revelation 2:23). These are not our words, but YAHUAH’s. The bible says, “these liars, and the followers of them, will be begging the mountains to fall on them to hide them from YAHUSHA HaMashiac, but even the rocks will testify against them because of their iniquities” (Revelation 6:16-17; Luke 23:30; Luke 19:40; Romans 8:22).
“FOR THE TIME WILL COME [is here] WHEN THEY WILL NOT ENDURE SOUND DOCTRINE; BUT AFTER THEIR OWN LUSTS SHALL THEY HEAP TO THEMSELVES TEACHERS, HAVING ITCHING EARS; AND THEY SHALL TURN AWAY THEIR EARS FROM THE TRUTH, AND SHALL BE TURNED UNTO FABLES [lies]. But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry. For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which YAHUAH, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing [those who love the TRUTH, not the flattery/leaven given in institutions]” (2 Timothy 4:5-8).
Oh how one could only hope, pray, and work to receive a crown on that day… All Honor, Praise, Power, and Glory be to YAHUAH! We pray this afflicts you: We look forward to seeing you as our brethren in TRUTH/In The Body of YAHUSHA HaMashiach, YAHUSHA is calling you to be part of HIS Qahal/Ecclesia.
“It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes” (Psalms 119-71).
Have a Joyful Sabbath!
